    Build more sidewalks and protected bike lanes.

  • Measure the impacts to the local watershed, tree canopy and greenspaces as part of the planning process.

    Prioritize the development of walkable neighborhoods.

    Expand and make more accessible the City of Durham’s composting program.

  • Increase funding for the arts and offer small-dollar grants to local artists.

  • Ensure employees of the City of Durham are paid a living wage.

    Ensure the Durham Police Department prioritizes investigating claims of wage theft.

  • Explore the creation of a Privacy Advisory Commission similar to what the City of Oakland has instituted. The goal is to advise the City of Durham on best practices regarding the protection of privacy rights.
